Hear the wild splash of the Wuorinen wind quintet, the bubbly pointillism of Carter’s Retracing, a bucolic alphorn solo, a world premiere for flute and owl sounds, a pastoral quintet by Milhaud based on a castle near his home, and the melding of Brazilian & Baroque in music of Villa-Lobos.
